Australian company Lynas plans toxic waste dump in Malaysia

Australian rare earth mining and refining company Lynas has applied for a licence to build a permanent dump for its toxic waste in a pristine rainforest in Malaysia after piling up a mountain of toxic, and partly radioactive, waste near its controversial refinery near the city of Kuantan. Peter Boyle spoke to Lee Tan, a veteran environmental researcher and campaigner with AidWatch.

Wansbrough discusses the dystopian future of neo-feudalism that awaits us if the growth of "platform capitalism" is allowed to go unchecked. We also look at what Marx, Engels and other theorists have had to say about rapid technological advancement. To wrap up, Wansbrough tells us about his new book Capitalism and the Enchanted Screen.
